10/8/07 MEN'S CROSS-COUNTRY - Burghoffer Chosen CACC Runner Of Week

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College senior Mike Burghoffer of Stockholm has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men’s Cross-Country Runner of the Week, the CACC announced today.
Burghoffer was Felician’s No. 1 man and the top non-Division-I finisher at the Monmouth University Invitational held last Friday evening at Holmdel Park in Holmdel. He completed the 8,000-meter (five-mile) course in 28 minutes, 55 seconds, his second-fastest 8K time of the season.
The Golden Falcons would have finished fourth out of six schools in the team standings had they been scored with the Division I schools in attendance. Burghoffer is the second Felician athlete to be so honored this season; Paul Chegwidden of Hamburg was the CACC Runner of the Week for Sept. 24. Both are 2004 graduates of Wallkill Valley.
