SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- The Felician College defense kept regionally-ranked Bryant University off the scoreboard for 73 minutes, but two late Bulldog goals led to a 2-0 Felician loss in non-conference men's soccer action Monday afternoon at Bulldog Stadium.

In the first half, Bryant (9-5) had eight corner kicks and owned an 18-3 advantage in shots. But Golden Falcon goalkeeper Paulo DosSantos (Toronto, Ontario) made nine saves in the period, including a few of high difficulty, and the rest of the defense, led by sweeper Lukas Fraczek (Szczytno, Poland), handled the steady pressure and kept the game scoreless into haltime.

The Bulldogs finally broke through on a Kyle Tierny (Westborough, MA) goal in at 73:22, and took control when Matthew Brown (South Easton, MA) scored two minutes, 20 seconds, later. Keeper Tom Madden (Saco, ME) needed two saves for the shutout.

Felician (0-13-2) finished the day down 29-6 in shots and with an 11-1 disadvantage in corner kicks. DosSantos matched a career high with 13 saves. The Bulldogs are ranked No. 7 in the latest Division II New England Region coaches poll.
