Felician Athletics - 10/4/07 MEN'S SOCCER - Men's Soccer Drops 3-1 Decision To Post

WATERBURY, Conn. -- The Felician men's soccer team fell behind 2-0 at halftime and suffered a 3-1 CACC loss to host Post University on Thursday afternoon at LaMoy Field.

Sophomore Eurica Trowers (Bronx, NY) scored all three goals for Post (3-9, 2-3). Trowers scored four minutes, 55 seconds, into the match, then got free on a short breakaway in the 37th minute for the Eagles' two-goal halftime edge. Raleigh Woodburn (St. Catherine's, Jamaica) assisted on both goals.

Post owned a 19-8 shot advantage and a 6-0 edge in corner kicks, yet the result remained in doubt until the closing minutes. With 18:04 remaining in regulation, a free kick by Felician's Greg Patullo (South Amboy, NJ) found the head of teammate Boris Shabovta (Manalapan, NJ), who scored from 10 yards out. But Trowers sealed the Eagle victory by burying a shot in the lower right corner of the net with 2:54 to play.

Goalkeeper Paulo DosSantos (Toronto, Ontario) made nine saves for the Golden Falcons (0-11-2, 0-5-1).
