Felician Athletics - 10/2/07 WOMEN'S SOCCER - Krowl, Warren Lift Felician Over Post, 2-1

WATERBURY, Conn. -- Junior Jenna Krowl (Kearny, NJ) scored the eventual game-winning goal and senior Christine Warren (Hasbrouck Heights, NJ) had a goal and an assist as Felician College defeated host Post University, 2-1, in CACC women's soccer action Tuesday afternoon at LaMoy Field.

Krowl broke a 1-1 tie in the 68th minute when she took a pass from Warren at the left corner of the 18-yard box and put a shot into the upper right corner of the goal. The victory put Felician (4-6-1, 2-3) ahead of Post in the CACC standings.

Golden Falcon goalkeeper Amanda Musarra (Hasbrouck Heights, NJ) helped preserve the 1-1 score into halftime. The Eagles (1-9-1, 1-3-1) owned a 16-5, first-half shot advantage, but Musarra made 11 of her 14 saves in the opening period. Post's only goal came when Mallorie Michalak (Meriden, CT) knocked home a rebounded save off of Musarra's shin guards in the 29th minute. Less than four minutes later, Warren beat her defender one-on-one and got the equalizer.

Felician reversed the trend and out-shot Post, 9-3, in the second half. The Eagles' Morgan Luschenat (Thomaston, CT) finished with six saves.
