9/25/07 MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY - Felician Sweeps Weekly CACC Awards

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College senior Paul Chegwidden of Hamburg has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men’s Cross-Country Runner of the Week, the CACC announced on Monday. Felician freshman Brenden Krewer of Farmingdale was selected as CACC Rookie of the Week.
Chegwidden won the 150-entrant Philly Metro Small College Invitational on Saturday at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia. He completed the 8,000-meter course in 27 minutes, three seconds, finishing 29 seconds ahead of his nearest competitor. Chegwidden is a 2004 graduate of Wallkill Valley High, one of three members of that class on the Golden Falcons.
Krewer finished 10th at the Philly Metro meet, with a time of 28:32. He was the highest-placing CACC Rookie. Helped by Chegwidden and Krewer, the Golden Falcons won the team championship by nearly 50 points. Nineteen schools attended, including eight from the CACC. Krewer is a 2007 graduate of Colts Neck High.
Felician’s Brad Schepise of Milltown was selected to the CACC Weekly Honor Roll for the third consecutive week after placing fifth at Belmont. More information is available on the CACC Web site.
