PHILADELPHIA -- Felician senior Paul Chegwidden (Hamburg, NJ) earned a 29-second victory over his nearest competitor in the Philly Metro Small College Cross-Country Invitational on Saturday afternoon, hosted by Cabrini College at Belmont Plateau. Led by Chegwidden, the Golden Falcons placed four runners among the top 10 finishers and nine in the top 25 to easily take the team championship as well.

Chegwidden traversed the 8,000-meter course in 27 minutes, three seconds, easily besting the 27:32 of runner-up Abad Ahktar of Richard Stockton College. Only two other competitors eclipsed the 28-minute mark.

Similarly, Felician scored 36 team points, and only second place Philadelphia University (85), was under 130 among its 18 opponents. Also scoring for the Golden Falcons were sophomore Brad Schepise (Milltown, NJ) (5th, 28:04), senior Alex Wright (Stockholm, NJ) (7th, 28:10), and freshmen Brenden Krewer (Farmingdale, NJ) (10th, 28:32), and Jay Rodgers (Westmont, NJ) (13th, 28:41).

The Golden Falcons are the three-time defending Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference champions. Eight of the 11 CACC members attended Saturday's meet.
