Felician Athletics - 9/13/07 VOLLEYBALL - Spikers Can't Halt Streaking West Chester

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The West Chester University women’s volleyball team won its 15th consecutive match with a 3-0 (30-8, 30-13, 30-11) non-conference victory over host Felician College on Thursday night at Job Gymnasium.

West Chester (15-0) used an efficient offense and strong serving to pull away early in each game. The Golden Rams hit .380 for the match, including .441 in Game 3, and held Felician to a negative attack percentage. WCU also accumulated a 16-1 advantage in service aces.

Kristen Decker (Douglassville, PA/Daniel Boone) topped WCU, which has won 22 straight games, with 10 kills and 12 digs, and added three aces while hitting .471. Setter Lisa Yeasted (West Lawn, PA/Holy Name) had 40 assists and three blocks. Dee Dee Smith (Monticello, NY/Monticello) led the Golden Falcons (0-5) with seven kills.
