Felician Athletics - 9/5/07 VOLLEYBALL - Volleyball Loses Home Opener In Four

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Felician College volleyball team lost its home opener in four games to Molloy College, 30-26 28-30 30-25 29-31, in non-conference action Wednesday night at Job Gymnasium.

After the teams split the first two games, Molloy opened up a 21-12 lead en route to a Game 3 victory. Felician (0-4) saved one match point in Game 4 before consecutive kills by Arielle Wichard (Merrick, NY/John F. Kennedy) and Diann Drury (Bellmore, NY/John F. Kennedy) ended the match.

Wichard paced the Lions (3-4) with a match-high 19 kills and 10 digs. Danielle Sekesan (Hicksville, NY/Hicksville) had 34 assists, 11 digs, and five aces, and Drury added 15 kills. Dee Dee Smith (Monticello, NY/Monticello) topped the Golden Falcon offense with 17 kills and Keisha Milstrey (Bronx, NY/Lehman) had 15 kills and three blocks.
