Felician Athletics - 9/5/07 WOMEN'S SOCCER - Golden Falcons Come Back For 2-2 Draw

FLUSHING, N.Y. -- The Felician women's soccer team gave up two early goals, then came back and tied host Queens (N.Y.) College, 2-2, in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon.

Queens's Andrea Slavin scored twice in the first 10 minutes, four seconds, putting the Golden Falcons in quick trouble. But with less than five minutes to play before halftime, Felician's D.J. Jacobowitz (Staten Island, NY) hit a post, and teammate Tiffany Bledsoe (Clementon, NJ) knocked home the rebound.

Jacobowitz got the equalizer in the 73rd minute after a scramble in front of the Golden Falcon goal. Felician survived a scare in the first sudden-death overtime period when a Queens penalty kick hit a post, and kept the Knights off the scoreboard despite being out-shot 9-1 in the two extra sessions and 41-14 for the day.

Felician goalkeeper Amanda Musarra (Hasbrouck Heights, NJ) made 20 saves, including seven in overtime.
