RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Queens (N.Y.) College scored twice in a 73-second span of the first half and went on to a 3-1 non-conference men’s soccer victory over host Felician College on Wednesday afternoon at Tryon Field.

Queens’s Fabian Palomino (Cali, Colombia/Bayside) opened the scoring with a shot into the upper right of the goal in the 25th minute. At 25:28, teammate Jesus Daniel Cano (Barranquilla, Colombia/FDR) got free on a breakway for the 2-0 lead the Knights carried into halftime. Queens (1-2) owned an 11-1 first-half shot advantage.

The Knights put the game away when Palomino scored again 2:50 into the second half. Cano finished with a goal and an assist. Felician freshman Godlove Takyi (Hackensack, NJ/Hackensack) scored his first career goal, and goalkeeper Paulo DosSantos (Toronto, Ontario/Sir Oliver Mowat) made 11 saves. The match featured 10 yellow cards and two red cards.
