Felician Athletics - 9/2/07 MEN'S SOCCER - Felician Loses AIC Classic Finale, 2-0

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Merrimack College scored two first-half goals and went on to a 2-0 non-conference men's soccer victory over Felician College to kick off Day 2 of the American International College Classic on Sunday afternoon at AIC Park.

Merrimack (3-1-1) scored twice in the first 26 minutes, then maintained the statistical advantage for the rest of the day in keeping Felician off the scoreboard. The Warriors' Tokelo Gugushe (Stoughton, MA) opened the scoring in the sixth minute, then assisted Greg Motta's (Saunderstown, RI) tally at 25:12. The Golden Falcons (0-2-1) were limited to one shot attempt in the first half and five for the game.

Merrimack goalkeeper Rob Pedra (South Hamilton, MA) made three saves for the shutout. Junior Paulo DosSantos (Toronto, Ontario) had a career-high 13 saves for Felician, which suffered a 5-0 corner-kick disadvantage.
