Felician Athletics - 6/27/07 MEN'S BASKETBALL - Harrison Promoted To Full-Time Role

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College part-time head men’s basketball coach Del Harrison of Plainfield has been promoted to the full-time position of gameday operations/recreation coordinator and head basketball coach, director of athletics Ben DiNallo Jr. announced today.

Harrison recently completed his second season leading the Golden Falcons, following four years as a Felician assistant. He has amassed a won-lost record of 25-31, and guided the Golden Falcons to a berth in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference tournament in both seasons. Prior to joining Felician’s staff, he won a conference championship and a Star-Ledger Union County Coach of the Year award during five years as the head coach at his alma mater, Plainfield High School.

A member of Plainfield’s 1983 state championship team, Harrison was a Division III All-American at Jersey City State College (now New Jersey City University) in 1989-90 and is a member of the NJCU Athletic Hall of Fame. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from NJCU in 1991.
