Felician Athletics - 6/19/07 VOLLEYBALL - Four Leagues, Independent, Dot 2007 Volleyball Schedule

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Teams from four conferences, plus an independent institution, appear on the 2007 Felician College women’s volleyball schedule, which was released today.

Felician will play 28 matches next season, all against NCAA Division II opponents. Its Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference schedule has increased from 16 to 17 matches due to the addition of Chestnut Hill College (home, Sept. 29) to the league.

Led by first-year head coach Alan Clements, the Golden Falcons will open the season with a two-day trip to Assumption College’s tournament in Worcester, Mass., on Aug. 31-Sept. 1. Other non-league foes include West Chester University of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (home, Sept. 13), D-II independent Chowan University (neutral, Sept. 22), Southern Connecticut State University of the Northeast-10 Conference (away, Oct. 29), and three East Coast Conference schools.

“Any schedule is challenging when you are coming off a 2-17 record,” Clements said, “but we believe that hard work and dedication will get us to the next level of success. No matter who we play, the key is to get the women to believe they can win and produce a work ethic that will help us turn things around.”

Both 2006 victories came against CACC North division rival Caldwell College, who the Golden Falcons meet on Sept. 25 in Caldwell, N.J., and Oct. 11 in Rutherford.

2007 Felician Volleyball Schedule
