RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Felician College women’s soccer team will face seven of the 11 schools in the East Coast Conference this fall, according to the 2007 schedule released today.

Felician will play 19 matches next season, all against NCAA Division II opponents. Its Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference schedule has increased from 10 to 11 games due to the addition of Chestnut Hill College (away, Oct. 13) to the league.

The Golden Falcons will open the season with a trip to American International College in Springfield, Mass., on Sept. 1. All of the other seven non-conference matches will be versus ECC foes, including regionally-ranked Molloy College at home on Oct. 11.

“We have a good balance with 10 home games and nine away,” said fifth-year head coach Erin Fitzgerald. “I’m excited to open the season with an overnight trip to AIC; it will give us a chance to bond very early. And our non-conference games are mixed in among our CACC games, which will allow us to strengthen aspects of our play prior to conference games.”

Felician will be looking to rebound from a 3-16-1 overall won-lost-tied record in 2006. All three teams it defeated are on the 2007 slate: Bloomfield College (away, Oct. 16), Concordia (N.Y.) College (home, Sept. 19), and Mercy College (away, Oct. 25).
