6/12/07 MEN'S BASKETBALL - Foster, Young Sign Letters Of Intent Print E-mail
RUTHERFORD, N.J. – High school seniors Kashiff Foster of Somerset and Devon Young of Monmouth Junction have signed national letters of intent to continue their basketball careers at Felician College, Golden Falcons head men’s coach Del Harrison announced today.

The 6-foot-5 Foster was a swingman at Rutgers Prep, where he also played baseball. He averaged more than 11 points and eight rebounds in his scholastic career, and was the leading scorer for his AAU team last season. The son of Ava Foster, he intends to study business management at Felician.

Young, a 6-foot-3 guard, was the 2007 Star-Ledger Middlesex County Player of the Year for South Brunswick High. He was also a First Team All-Area and Second Team All-State Group 4 selection. He helped lead the 2006-07 Vikings to a 27-3 won-lost record and a No. 9 state ranking. Young, a National Honor Society member, also plays for the AAU Central Jersey Jammers. He is the son of Albert and Debra Young and expects to major in accounting.

Felician, an NCAA Division II program, qualified for its sixth consecutive Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament last season.
