Felician Athletics - 5/22/07 VOLLEYBALL - Clements Named Head Volleyball Coach

RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Alan Clements of Fair Lawn has been named the head women’s volleyball coach at Felician College, director of athletics Ben DiNallo Jr. announced today.

Clements comes to Felician after one season as the head coach at Bergen Community College. The 2006 Bulldogs had a 13-4 won-lost record and won their region’s regular-season and tournament championships. Clements was named the regional coach of the year.

Prior to working at Bergen, Clements was the head coach at Fair Lawn High for six years, qualifying for the Bergen County and NJSIAA tournaments each season. He is a teacher of health, physical education and driver education at Fair Lawn, and is the Cutters’ girls’ basketball coach.

A native of Nashville, Tenn., Clements earned a bachelor of science degree from Lipscomb College in 1980 and a master of science from Marygrove College in 2002, both in education. He is the second head coach of Felician’s volleyball program.
