Felician Athletics - 5/22/07 BASEBALL - Quintana Adds Coaches' All-Region Honor

RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Felician senior Frank Quintana (Miami, FL/South Miami) was a Second Team selection to the 2007 American Baseball Coaches Assocation/Rawlings Division II Northeast Regional Teams, according to balloting released by the ABCA All-America Committee on Monday. Quintana earned the same honor as a sophomore in 2005.

Quintana, a first-baseman, hit .405 with 19 doubles, a triple, 16 homeruns, 59 runs scored, 59 runs batted in and 23 stolen bases for the 23-26 Golden Falcons. He was the only Felician player to start all 49 games, leading his team to its second straight Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament appearance.

Earlier this postseason, Quintana was named Player of the Year by the CACC, the New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Association, and the Daktronics All-Northeast Region program. He is currently a Daktronics All-America candidate.
