LINCROFT, N.J. – Senior left-fielder Ray Rose (Piscataway, NJ) had five runs batted in to key Felician College’s 9-7 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference baseball victory over visiting Nyack College on Thursday afternoon at Brookdale Community College.

Rose had a go-ahead two-run single in the bottom of the third inning to cap a three-run rally as Felician (19-23, 6-6) rebounded from an early 2-0 deficit. He lined another two-run single up the middle during the Golden Falcons’ five-run fourth inning, and added an RBI single in the sixth, finishing 3 for 4 plus a walk on the day.

Felician reliever Anthony Spina (Toms River, NJ) entered with the bases loaded and two-outs in the top of the eighth with his team ahead, 9-6. He allowed a run on a wild pitch, but struck out the only batter he faced. Jeff Calabrese (Freehold, NJ) then worked around an error and a walk in the ninth for his fourth save. Starter William Senna (Wallingford, CT) (5-1) worked six innings, allowing six runs (four earned) on five hits with four strikeouts.
