RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College’s Frank Quintana of Miami, Fla., has been named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Baseball Co-Player of the Week, the conference announced today. It is his second such honor of the 2007 season.

Quintana, a senior first-baseman, hit three homeruns last week, breaking his own single-season school record for homers with 12. The record-breaker was a two-run shot in the seventh inning of Sunday’s 8-7 loss at Division-I New Jersey Institute of Technology. He is Felician’s all-time homerun leader with 31, hitting 11 in 2005.

On the week, Quintana hit .429 with seven runs scored and six runs batted in, guiding the Golden Falcons to a 3-2 record. He also drew four walks for a .520 on-base percentage. He shared the honor with Jason Rust of Wilmington (Del.) College. Quintana, who was also the conference Player of the Week on Feb. 27, is a 2003 graduate of South Miami High.
