PETERS
MIDDLETOWN, Del. -- Freshman Joseph Peters (Barnegat, NJ) became the first Felician College golfer to attain all-conference status, shooting a 77 at the 2007 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference championship on Tuesday at Frog Hollow Golf Club.

Peters set a school record with his six-over-par round. His total was good for a tie for ninth place; the top ten finishers in the event automatically were named All-CACC. Peters bettered his previous low collegiate round by eight strokes and shaved six strokes off the school record, held by classmate Rob Young (Glendale, NY). The tournament was shortened from 36 to 18 holes by Monday's heavy rain and high winds.

The Golden Falcons finished ninth in the team standings, one spot better than in their inaugural season of 2006, and set a school record with a four-man 18-hole total of 367. Young shot an 88, and also scoring for Felician were senior Ryan Fogarty (Ridgefield, NJ) with a 101, and junior Gregory Patullo (South Amboy, NJ), whose 101 matched a career low.

Nyack College's John Carr was the medalist with a one-over 72 and was named CACC Player of the Year. Post University shot 311 to win the team championship. Peters is Felician's 11th All-CACC student-athlete in 2006-07.
