Felician Athletics - 4/16/07 MEN'S BASKETBALL - All-ECAC Is Pierrot's Fourth Postseason Honor

RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Felician senior Michael Pierrot of Melville, N.Y., has been named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division II Men's Basketball All-Star First Team. It is the fourth postseason honor, and the second First Team award, for Pierrot this spring.

The ECAC's membership includes 320 colleges in NCAA Divisions I, II, and II from Maine to Georgia and Westerly to Illinois. There are 45 basketball-playing Division II schools as members. Pierrot was the ECAC Division II Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 13.

Pierrot, a 6-foot-10 center, averaged 20.7 points, 10.4 rebounds and 2.33 blocks in 2006-07, while putting up 17 double-doubles. He finished 10th nationally among Division II players in rebounding. He has also been named to the All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference First Team, and was a second team honoree of the Met Basketball Writers Associaton and the Northeast Region. He is Felician's first NCAA men's all-region performer.
