WATERBURY, Conn. -- Felician College used a 17-hit attack for a 13-4 Game 1 victory over host Post University during the teams' CACC doubleheader on Saturday afternoon at Municipal Stadium. Post rebounded for an 8-4 Game 2 victory.

In the opener, Felician sophomore right-hander William Senna (Wallingford, CT) (3-0) allowed two runs on six hits over eight innings of work. He struck out seven batters and walked one. He held the Eagles' offense back long enough for his teammates to snap a 1-1 tie with a five-run top of the fifth inning, highlighted by a Frank Quintana (Miami, FL) two-run homerun. The Golden Falcons tacked on two runs in the sixth inning and five more in the seventh.

Ray Rose (Piscataway, NJ) was 4 for 6 and scored three times and Dave Schoer (Manalapan, NJ) went 4 for 5 with two RBI to lead Felician. Marcos Torres (Miami, FL) added three hits and two runs batted in. Mike Padovani (Prospect, CT) had an RBI triple for Post (11-14, 3-3).

The Eagles overcame a 2-0 deficit with four runs in the bottom of the third inning of Game 2. Felician's Ryan Iannelli (Clarksboro, NJ) singled home a run with none out in the fifth and then stole second, but was left stranded, and Post tacked on single runs in the sixth and seventh and two more in the eighth. The Golden Falcons (13-17, 2-4) brought the tying run to the plate with two out in the ninth before Eagle closer Padovani recorded his fourth strikeout in two innings of work.

Post's Richie Pierro (Essex, MA) yielded two earned runs on seven hits over seven innings, while Joe Proscia (Brooklyn, NY) was 3 for 4 with two RBI. Iannelli drove in a pair of runs and Quintana and Angel Roman (North Plainfield, NJ) were each 2 for 3 for Felician.
