Michael PierrotRUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Felician College senior Michael Pierrot of Melville, N.Y., was named men's Division II second-team All-Met today by the National Invitation Tournament and the Met Basketball Writers Association.

This is the third postseason honor for Pierrot, a 6-foot-10 center, who was also named first-team all-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference and second-team all-Northeast Region. He is third on Felician's all-time scoring list with 1,252 points.

He also accumulated 17 double-doubles and scored at least 30 points five times. Felician finished tied for sixth in the CACC and reached the quarterfinals of the conference tournament.

Bradd Wierzbicki of Queens College was named Division II All-Met Player of the Year, and Sal Lagano of New York Institute of Technology is the Coach of the Year. Men's and women's awardees from all three NCAA divisions will be honored at the annual MBWA awards ceremony on April 10 at the Giants Stadium Club in East Rutherford.
