Felician Athletics - 3/28/07 GOLF - Felician 18th At GBC Invite

AVONDALE, Pa. -- The Felician golf team began its spring season with an 18th place showing at the Goldey-Beacom College Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at Hartefield National Country Club.

All 19 teams attending the two-day, 36-hole event were Division II schools, with the Golden Falcons finishing ahead of Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference rival Caldwell College, 842-916. Freshman Joseph Peters (Barnegat, NJ) was Felician's low scorer with 183, good for 84th overall, and also shot the Golden Falcons' low round of the event, a 91 on Tuesday.

Also scoring for Felician were Rob Young (Glendale, NY) (94-103-197, 85th), Ryan Fogarty (Ridgefield, NJ) (104-112-216, 87th), and Nick Lyons (Jackson, NJ) (127-121-248, 88th).

Indiana (Pa.) University won the tournament with a 603, and Corey Gast of Milersville University was the medalist with a 141, including a six-under-par 66 on Tuesday. Complete results are available on golfstat.com.
