LANTANA, Fla. -- The Felician College baseball team allowed 12 unearned runs in its 19-12 non-conference loss to Adelphi University on Saturday morning at the Santaluces Athletic Complex.
The Golden Falcons (7-10) fell behind, 10-0, after 4 1/2 innings of play, but scored twice in the bottom of the fifth and four more times in the sixth to pull to within four runs. However, aided by three Felician errors, Adelphi (3-2) put the game away with six runs in the top of the seventh, only one of which was earned. Felician committed seven errors on the day. Felician scored six runs in the bottom of the ninth, highlighed by a two-run double from Richard Melendez (Miami, FL) for the final margin.

Adelphi starting pitcher Bobby Lanigan earned the victory, allowing six runs (five earned) on seven hits with six strikeouts over six innings.
Felician starter Kevin Ernst (Manalapan, NJ) (0-1) took the loss, although only two of the eight runs he allowed were earned. He struck out three and walked four in 3 1/3 innings, yielding six hits.
