FORT PIERCE, Fla. -- Three Felician College pitchers combined on a four-hitter in a 6-3 non-conference baseball victory over Nyack College on Friday evening at the Lawnwood Complex. Felician ended a six-game losing streak.

Felician (7-9) broke a 3-3 tie with three runs in the top of the eighth inning. Ray Rose (Piscataway, NJ) and Chris Flynn (Keyport, NJ) began the inning with walks and moved up on an errant pickoff throw. Greg Spatz (Oakhurst, NJ) singled home Rose with the go-ahead run, and Rose scored on a wild pitch. One batter later, Richard Melendez's (Miami, FL) RBI single plated Spatz.

Jeff Calabrese (Freehold, NJ) (3-1) earned the victory with three innings of perfect relief, striking out three, and Anthony Spina (Toms River, NJ) worked a scoreless ninth for his first save. Golden Falcon starter William Senna (Wallingford, CT) yielded three runs (two earned) on three hits over five innings, struck out six batters and walked five.

Mike Buckelew (Whitehouse Station, NJ) and Frank Quintana (Miami, FL) had two hits each and Spatz drove in two runs for Felician. Christian Gutierrez (Bronx, NY) had a double and a triple for Nyack (0-3).
