Felician Athletics - 3/8/07 MEN'S BASKETBALL - Pierrot Is Felician's First NCAA Men's All-Region Honoree

RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Felician College senior Michael Pierrot of Melville, N.Y., has been voted to the 2006-2007 Daktronics NCAA Division II Men's Basketball All-Northeast Region Second Team. He is the first player in school history to receive that honor. Sports information directors throughout the region conducted the balloting.

Pierrot, a 6-foot-10 center, averaged 20.7 points, 10.4 rebounds and a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference-best 2.3 blocked shots per game while shooting 55.1 percent from the field. He was a first-team all-CACC selection, and will graduate as the school's third all-time leading scorer with 1,252 points.

The 2006-07 Golden Falcons finished 12-16 overall and tied for sixth place in the CACC with a 10-10 conference record.
