RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Felician first-baseman Frank Quintana (Miami, FL) has been named Collegiate Player of the Week by Gotham Baseball Magazine. The honor comes one day after Quintana's selection as CACC Player of the Week.
Quintana went 9 for 16 (.562) with three doubles, three homeruns, six runs scored and 10 runs batted in during a 3-1 week for the Golden Falcons. He hit an eighth-inning go-ahead homerun during an 11-10 victory over Queens (N.Y.) College.
Self-billed as "The past, present and future of New York's game," Gotham Baseball Magazine makes its collegiate selections from among New York tri-state area schools from all three NCAA Divisions. More information is available here.
