MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Felician College scored three runs in the seventh inning and three more in the eighth to earn a 12-9 non-conference baseball victory over Mercy College during the Northeast Challenge on Sunday afternoon at the Ripken Experience Complex.

After Felician's first late rally, Mercy (0-4) scored a single run in the top of the eighth to tie the game at 9-9. In the bottom of the frame, the Golden Falcons (5-2) loaded the bases on a walk, a hit batsman, a sacrifice, and an intentional walk. Ray Rose (Piscataway, NJ) and Dave Schoer (Manalapan, NJ) drew back-to-back run-scoring walks, and Jonathan Del Franco (Bridgewater, NJ) capped the rally with a sacrifice fly. Reliever Anthony Spina (Toms River, NJ) (2-0) got the last four outs.

Rose and Schoer were each 2 for 3 with a homerun and four runs batted in, while Frank Quintana (Miami, FL) went 3 for 3 with a pair of RBI. Steve Summer had three hits and drove in two runs for the Flyers.
