PRINCE GEORGE, Va. -- Bloomfield College scored five unearned runs in the top of the sixth inning to take control of its 12-5 non-conference baseball victory over Felician College on Sunday at Prince George High School.
With the game tied, 4-4, Bloomfield's Zackary Mayo (Marion, CT) led off the sixth by reaching on an error. The Deacons (2-1) would go on to load the bases with two outs before Eric Tanis (Pequannock, NJ) lined a Greg Spatz (Oakhurst, NJ) (0-1) pitch for a two-run single. Kevin Lauranzon (Dissputanta, VA) followed with a three-run homerun, his second longball of the game.
Bloomfield starter Michael Bujalkwoski (South Amboy, NJ) (1-0) allowed four runs on six hits over five innings of work, striking out six and walking two. Tanis was 2 for 5 with a double and five runs batted in and Lauranzon finised 2 for 3 with 4 RBI for the Deacons. Chris Flynn (Keyport, NJ) and Albie Sanguiliano (Flemington, NJ) had two hits apiece and Frank Quintana (Miami, FL) hit a two-run homer for the Golden Falcons. |
