Felician Athletics - 2/10/07 WOMEN'S BASKETBALL - Wilmington Takes Care of Golden Falcons, 68-44

NEW CASTLE, Del. -- The Felician women's basketball team lost its Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game at Wilmington (Del.) College, 68-44, on Saturday afternoon at the Pratt Center. Wilmington (12-10, 9-8) swept the season series from the Golden Falcons.

After taking a 33-21 halftime lead, the Wildcats, who never trailed, took full control by outscoring Felician, 16-6, over the first 10 minutes of the second half. Wilmington captured its largest lead, 57-31, with 7:09 remaining. The Wildcats held the Golden Falcons to 33-percent shooting and forced 26 Golden Falcon turnovers.

Wilmington's Nordia Henry recorded game highs of 19 points and 12 rebounds. Amelia Simmons scored 17 points and Jamie Hensley added 15. Junior Dee Dee Smith (Monticello, NY) scored 15 points with six rebounds for Felician (1-26, 0-19).
