Felician Athletics - 2/7/07 WOMEN'S BASKETBALL - No. 14 Holy Family Downs Felician

PHILADELPHIA -- Holy Family University remained unbeaten in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play with a 76-33 women's basketball victory over visiting Felician College on Wednesday evening at the Campus Center. Holy Family is ranked No. 14 in the latest national Division II coaches' poll.

HFU (20-2, 17-0) held Felician scoreless for a stretch of 12 minutes, 44 seconds, of the first half, scoring 23 consecutive points to take a 37-4 lead. The Tigers were ahead, 43-10, at halftime and led by as many as 44 points in the second period.

Kelly Killion topped four Tiger double-figure scorers with 12 points, including the 1,000th of her career. Megan Bauer had 11 points and 10 rebounds. Junior Crystal Ferrer (Bronx, NY) registered seven points and nine rebounds and Diane Burns (Brewster, NY) had six points and six assists for Felician (1-25, 0-18). Holy Family held the Golden Falcons to 18-percent shooting from the floor, including 13 percent in the first half.

Wednesday marked the sixth game of the season for Felician against an opponent ranked in the current national Top 25.
