2/5/07 MEN'S BASKETBALL - Harper Named CACC Rookie of Week

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College’s James Harper of Eatontown has been named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week, the conference announced today. It is Harper’s second such honor of the 2006-07 season.
Harper, a “redshirt” freshman forward, was honored after helping the Golden Falcons to a 2-0 week, both against Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference opponents. He averaged 16.5 points, 10.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists in the pair of games, while shooting 54 percent from the field. In last Tuesday’s home victory over Post University, he recorded 18 points and 11 rebounds, and made three three-point field goals. He is a 2005 graduate of Long Branch High.
Felician is 10-11 overall and 8-6 in CACC play heading into tonight’s home game against Goldey-Beacom College. The Golden Falcons are tied for fifth place in the 11-team league with six games remaining.
