PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- Felician College senior center Michael Pierrot (Melville, NY) scored his 1,000th career point, but his Golden Falcons lost to host Philadelphia University, 79-67 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference men's basketball action Saturday afternoon on McGee Court.
Felician (7-11, 5-6) trailed, 34-30 at halftime. It never led in the second half, but stayed within a single digit deficit until the late stages. Philadelphia's Christian Burns kept the Golden Falcons at bay, turning in a 36-point, 17-rebound, three-block effort.
Pierrot made a short finger-roll in the opening minute of the second half to become Felician's third male 1,000-point scorer. He finished with 20 points, seven rebounds and three blocks. Sydir Mitchell (Paterson, NJ) scored 18 points for the Golden Falcons and James Harper (Eatontown, NJ) added 16.
