Felician Athletics - 1/18/07 MEN'S BASKETBALL - Pierrot Continues Hot Streak, Felician Wins

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Senior center Michael Pierrot (Melville, NY/Half Hollow Hills East) scored 23 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead Felician College to a 79-67 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference men’s basketball victory over visiting Nyack College on Tuesday night at Job Gymnasium.

Felician (7-10, 5-5) overcame an early 14-3 deficit to take a 39-32 halftime lead. The Golden Falcons’ edge hovered between four and 10 points for the first 15 minutes of the second half until a quick 5-0 spurt allowed them to move ahead, 75-60, with 3:47 to play.

Pierrot enjoyed his fifth consecutive game of at least 20 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman Nijel Robinson (Plainsboro, NJ) shot 5 for 7 from three-point range for 15 points. Mickell Vickers (Babylon, NY) had 16 points and 14 rebounds and Sheanan Martinez (Haverstraw, NY) added 11 points and 11 boards for Nyack (4-11, 2-6).
