Felician Athletics - 1/11/07 MEN'S BASKETBALL - Pierrot Keys Second Half Comeback At Bloomfield, 93-86

BLOOMFIELD, N.J. - Michael Pierrot (Melville, NY) scored 29 second-half points to lead Felician College to a 93-86 victory over host Bloomfield College on Thursday night at BC Gymnasium.

Felician (6-8, 4-4) rode 12-of-14 second-half field goal shooting from Pierrot to erase a 12-point deficit. Pierrot had 14 points in a 21-3 run that turned a 62-50 disadvantage with 12:03 to play into a six-point edge at the 7:31 mark. After the Deacons' Omari Knox canned a three-point field goal, James Harper (Eatontown, NJ) scored eight consecutive points to give the Golden Falcons their biggest lead of the night, 79-58 with 5:57 to go.

Still trailing by 10 with 3:42 showing on the clock, Bloomfield (3-10, 1-5) pulled to within two points on two occasions down the stretch. Felician's Sydir Mitchell (Paterson, NJ) sealed the victory by making seven of eight free-throw attempts in the final minute.

Pierrot finished with a career-high 34 points on 13 of 17 shooting and added 10 rebounds. Harper (nine rebounds, three blocks) and Mitchell scored 16 points apiece. Andre Dabney had 28 points and seven assists and Anthony Separovich 19 points and seven rebounds for the Deacons.
