BLOOMFIELD, N.J. -- In a game in which the teams combined for 73 turnovers, Bloomfield College used a fast start and 53-percent shooting to defeat visiting Felician College, 73-43, in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women's basketball action Thursday evening at BC Gymnasium.

Bloomfield (6-5, 5-2) outscored Felician, 20-2, over the game's first nine minutes, 19 seconds, and never trailed. After leading 35-20 at halftime, the Deacons put the game away with a 10-0 run to start the second half. Bloomfield held the Golden Falcons to 30-percent shooting from the floor, including 1 of 13 on three-pointers.

Ciera Darby paced a balanced Deacon offense with 14 points. Dee Dee Smith (Monticello, NY) had 11 points and seven steals for Felician (1-16, 0-9). The Golden Falcons forced a season-high 36 turnovers, but committed 37 of their own.
