Felician Athletics - 1/9/07 MEN'S BASKETBALL - Pierrot Leads Golden Falcons To 92-67 Win

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Senior center Michael Pierrot (Melville, NY/Half Hollow Hills East) scored 28 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead Felician College to a 92-67 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference men’s basketball victory over visiting Wilmington (Del.) College on Tuesday night at Job Gymnasium.

Felician (5-8, 3-4) scored 13 consecutive points in a three-minute span of the first half to turn a three-point edge into a 34-18 lead. After carrying a 52-37 advantage into halftime, the Golden Falcons, who never trailed, never led by less than 12 points in period two, taking their biggest lead at 88-60 with 3:43 to play.

Pierrot, who played only 27 minutes, topped five double-figure scorers for Felician. Richard Fegins (Linden, NJ/St. Mary) scored a season-high 16 points, and James Harper (Eatontown, NJ/Long Branch) had 14 points and nine rebounds.

Felician, which owned a 52-32 rebounding advantage, withstood a 33-point effort from the Wildcats’ Taurean Temple (Newark, DE/Hodgson Vo-Tech).
