Felician Athletics - 1/4/07 WOMEN'S BASKETBALL - Felician Falls To First-Place Holy Family

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Holy Family University earned an 80-38 victory over host Felician College in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women’s basketball action Thursday night at Job Gymnasium.

Megan Bauer (Norwood, PA/Ridley) scored Holy Family’s last eight points of the first half, capping off a 21-5 run that turned a one-point lead with 5:46 to play in the period into a 42-25 halftime advantage. HFU (8-1, 5-0) then held Felician to 19 percent shooting in the second half

Melissa Brooks (Levittown, PA/Neshaminy) led all scorers with 21 points and added three blocks for the Tigers. Bauer finished with nine points, 11 rebounds and three blocks. Krystal Dixon (Somerset, NJ/New Brunswick Tech) had nine points for the Golden Falcons (1-14, 0-7).

HFU received votes in the most recent national Division II coaches’ poll and is the only unbeaten team in CACC play.
