PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- Pace University took a 17-5 lead in the first four minutes, 29 seconds, and went on to an 88-58 non-conference men's basketball victory over visiting Felician College on Friday night at the Goldstein Center. The game was part of Day 1 action at the Pace Holiday Classic.
Pace (7-7), which never trailed, opened up a 27-10 edge midway through the first half, and led, 48-25, at halftime. The Setters shot 58 percent from the field in period one, and held Felician to 22-percent first-half shooting. The Golden Falcons closed to within 50-34 with 16:23 to play, but never got closer.
Randy Wilson topped four double-figure scorers for Pace with 16 points on 8-of-11 shooting, while Oneil Morgan had 14 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman James Harper (Eatontown, NJ) had 14 points and six rebounds for Felician (3-7).
