Felician Athletics - 12/18/06 WOMEN'S BASKETBALL - Molloy Earns Non-League Win At Felician

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Molloy College took a 21-5 lead after seven minutes, 41 seconds, en route to a 79-54 non-conference women’s basketball victory over host Felician College on Monday night at Job Gymnasium.

Leading 6-5, Molloy (4-4) scored 15 consecutive points over a span of nearly five minutes. Felician never moved closer than an 11-point deficit at any time the rest of the game. The Lions, who led, 42-25, at halftime, shot 50 percent from the field and held the Golden Falcons to 30-percent shooting.

Molloy’s Randi Bender (North Bellmore, NY/Mepham) led all scorers with 21 points, including 13 in the second half. E.J. Dreyer (Floral Park, NY/Archbishop Molloy) added 18 points and five assists. Crystal Ferrer (Bronx, NY/Redemption Christian) had 14 points and eight rebounds and Laurin Brown (Bayville, NJ/Central Regional) 11 points and a season-high eight boards for Felician (1-13).
