FLUSHING, N.Y. -- The Queens (N.Y.) College women's basketball team defeated visiting Felician College, 70-53, in non-conference action Saturday evening at Fitzgerald Gymnasium.
After rebounding from an early seven-point deficit to take a 29-22 halftime lead, Queens (2-7) outscored Felician, 10-3, over the first three minutes of the second half for a 14-point edge. The Golden Falcons were never able to close the gap smaller than nine points for the rest of the game.
The Knights received 15 points and 10 rebounds from Bethanie Mandresch and 15 points and nine boards from Danielle Castelli. Laurin Brown (Bayville, NJ) led the Golden Falcons (1-12) with 15 points on five three-point field goals, and Rochelle Forbes (Montreal, Quebec) posted 10 points and 12 rebounds.
