Felician Athletics - 12/7/06 WOMEN'S BASKETBALL - Turnovers Hurt Felician In 81-57 Loss To Lightning

WILMINGTON, Del. -- The Felician women's basketball team lost an 81-57 decision to host Goldey-Beacom College in CACC action Thursday night at MBNA Hall.

Goldey-Beacom (4-3, 3-1) rode a game-opening 19-9 run to a 34-23 halftime lead. Hindered by 37 turnovers, Felician never got closer than a nine-point deficit after eight minutes remained in the first half. The Lightning's largest lead was the final 24-point margin.

GBC's Cherrise Graham (11-16 FG) came off the bench to record 34 points and nine steals in 29 minutes. Laurin Brown (Bayville, NJ) scored 15 points, shooting 5-for-8 on three-point field goals, and Jo Milling (Pymble, Australia) had 13 points for the Golden Falcons (1-10, 0-5).
