CALDWELL, N.J. -- Caldwell College scored 56 second-half points in its 84-53 CACC women's basketball victory over visiting Felician College on Tuesday night at the Newman Center.
Caldwell (2-4, 1-1) scored the game's first 11 points, but behind 12 first-half points from Laurin Brown (Bayville, NJ) and 10 from Dee Dee Smith (Monticello, NY), Felician rallied to take a 31-28 halftime lead. The Cougars, however, took control early in period two, scoring 28 of the first 32 points. Caldwell shot 56 percent from the floor in the second half and held the Golden Falcons to 19 percent shooting in the period.
Caldwell's Mackenzie Lynch scored 24 second-half points and finished with 34 points, 12 rebounds and four steals, making 15 of 20 field goal attempts. Smith had 16 points and 10 rebounds for Felician (1-9, 0-4). |
