Felician Athletics - 12/2/06 WOMEN'S BASKETBALL - Golden Falcons Fall to Rams, 82-41

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Philadelphia University defeated host Felician College, 82-41, in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women’s basketball action Saturday afternoon at Job Gymnasium.

Philadelphia (2-3, 1-1) scored the game’s first eight points and led, 20-3, nine minutes into the contest. After taking a 37-18 halftime advantage, the Rams led by as many as 51 points in period two. Philadelphia shot 44.8 percent from the field and held Felician to 24.6 percent shooting.

Two Rams recorded double-doubles. Jessica Romano (Horsham, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) had 15 points, 11 rebounds and five assists, and Alisha Ferguson (Fort Washington, PA/Gwynedd Mercy Academy) posted 14 points and 10 rebounds. Meg Abele (Lititz, PA/Warwick) scored a game-high 18 points.

Senior guard Diane Burns (Brewster, NY/Brewster) scored 12 points for the Golden Falcons (1-8, 0-3).
