WATERBURY, Conn. -- Post University outscored visiting Felician, 28-11, over the last nine minutes of the first half of its 69-56 CACC women's basketball victory on Thursday at the Drubner Center.
With the score tied, 17-17, with 8:47 to play in the opening period, Post (1-3, 1-1) scored game's next 17 points. Felician fought back to within 36-28 before the Eagles made three three-point field goals in the last 1:04 for a 17-point halftime edge. The closest the Golden Falcons (1-7, 0-2) came in period two was 45-36 with 16:36 to play.
Post's Stephanie Goss led all scorers with 19 points and added nine rebounds. Rochelle Forbes (Montreal, Quebec) had 13 points and 12 boards and Laurin Brown (Bayville, NJ) added 12 points for the Golden Falcons. |
