SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- The Felician women's basketball team lost both its games in the Bryant University Tip-Off on Friday and Saturday. The Golden Falcons fell to ninth-ranked American International College, 62-22, and the host Bulldogs, 90-35.
On Friday, AIC (2-0) jumped out to a 23-7 edge and led 38-11 at halftime. The Yellow Jackets forced 34 Golden Falcon turnovers. Dee Dee Smith (Monticello, NY) and Erica Brown (Plainfield, NJ) scored six points each for Felician.
Bryant proved a rude host on Saturday, opening up a 25-2 advantage. Felician (0-5) pulled to within 41-21 at halftime, but the Bulldogs opened the second period with a 11-2 run to re-take control. Smith had a game-high 22 points. |
