WATERBURY, Conn. – No. 3 seed Post University scored with seven seconds remaining in the first sudden-victory overtime period of its 2-1 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men’s Soccer Tournament quarterfinal win over visiting and No. 6 seed Felician College on Tuesday afternoon at LaMoy Field.

Freshman Eurica Trowers (Bronx, NY/Clinton) sent Post (8-6-5) into the semifinals when he got position in front of the net and headed in a cross by Maurice Johnson (Bronx, NY/Bryant & Stratton) at 99:53. It was the Eagles’ second shot attempt of the extra session.

Johnson scored the first goal of the game, giving the Eagles the lead in the 16th minute. About nine minutes later, Post was awarded a penalty kick. But Felician’s Paulo DosSantos (Toronto, Canada/Sir Oliver Mowat) made a save to preserve the one-goal deficit. At 28:55, the Golden Falcons got the equalizer when Armin Tandir (Bosnia/Hackettstown [NJ]) scored on a cross from Nash Townsend (Plainfield, NJ/Planfield).

The teams played a relatively defensive-minded second half. Felician held the Eagles to six shots after allowing 13 in the first period, but could only muster four shots itself. Neither team was awarded a corner kick in period two.

DosSantos made eight saves for the Golden Falcons, who finish 3-11-3.
