RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Sophomore guard Antoine Obery (Roselle, NJ/Abraham Clark) scored 23 points in 23 minutes to lead the Felician College men’s basketball team to an 80-52 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference North Division victory over visiting Caldwell College on Thursday night at Job Gymnasium.

Obery made 10 of 12 field-goal attempts to top all scorers on the night. Teammate Ethan Kennedy (Albuquerque, NM/Highland) shot 6 for 7 from the floor and scored 18 points in 15 minutes off the bench. Suquan Gary (Paterson, NJ/PCTI) added 10 points for the Golden Falcons (15-5, 8-3). Felician shot 54 percent from the field and committed only 10 turnovers.

Caldwell (3-17, 2-10) led, 19-10, after nine minutes of action. But Kennedy scored 12 points during a 20-3 Felician run over the final eight minutes of the first half as the hosts took a 39-28 halftime advantage. The Golden Falcons worked the lead to 21 points within the first five minutes of period two, and were ahead by as many as 33. Peter Diffley (Bellerose, NY/Episcopal) paced the Cougars with 15 points and 10 rebounds.

The victory assured Felician of a second consecutive winning season, a first in program history. The Golden Falcons swept the season series from Caldwell for the first time in five years. Felician improved to 8-0 at home this season and is riding a 15-game home winning streak.
