ImageRUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College senior Ethan Kennedy of Albuquerque, N.M., and junior Devon Young of Monmouth Junction have been voted to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Men’s Basketball Team for the College Division in District II, as coordinated and selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Kennedy was voted onto the First Team, and will move on to represent Felician on the Academic All-America ballot. Young was a Second Team selection. They are the first two men’s basketball players in Felician history to ever win the award, and only the third and fourth Golden Falcons in any sport.

In 2009-10, Kennedy, a 6-foot-7 center, is averaging 11.5 points and 3.4 rebounds per game and leads Felician with 30 three-point field goals. He carries a 3.91 grade-point average as an art major with a concentration in graphic design. He is in his second year with the Golden Falcons after transferring from Coppin State University.

Young is Felician’s leading scorer with 16.9 points per game, good for seventh in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, and is fourth on the school’s all-time scoring list. He owns a 3.65 GPA as an accounting major, and has previously been named Academic All-CACC and an Arthur Ashe Sports Scholar. The Golden Falcons are off to the best start in program history at 14-5.

CoSIDA’s District II is comprised of Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia. The College Division consists of all non-Division I institutions.
